Saturday in AWC concluded the team competitions, and only the individual finals remain from this years edition of the world championship. This morning was simply painful. Finishing the mandatory tasks on the previous evening took longer than thought, as getting some dinner was postponed. As the result, the night was too short, and the first moments preparing for today at the Unipol arena did not feel inspiring at all. What a day this was. It is easy to forget pretty quickly how though days longer than around the clock can be – 17h more exactly from leaving and returning to the hotel room. Nevertheless, AWC2015 Friday was full of fantastic achievements and bitter disappointments – sounds like true sports, doesn’t it . If the brain wasn’t so cooked already in the late afternoon, perhaps those events could have been captured more carefully. Today was the first day for world championship action in Unipol arena. The morning started early, as typical to the circumstances. The breakfast in the hotel could not be moved to an earlier time, so the plans for getting breakfast were postponed instead. The entire Team Finland arrived at the arena either by foot or by car, and got organized for the mandatory veterinary check. The sometimes dreaded measuring for those dogs competing in AWC for the first time didn’t give any issues for Team Finland, and apparently none of the entered dogs were disqualified either – history...

The photographer’s road to Bologna began on early Wednesday morning after arriving at the Helsinki-Vantaa airport and meeting with a few other team members taking the same flight to Italy. Apart from daily items packed in the luggage, the tools for the job itself are obviously the most watched piece on the road.
